Hi, I’m your new neighbor.

This is Bill Monroe. It’s his birthday. I figured I’d pick today to start this magazine. I called it Bill Monroe’s Neighbor because I think that if this legendary, mountain of a mountain music man were still alive he would likely think of me and my opinions about his creation as a Dennis the Menace character. While he might yell at me for accidentally putting a foul ball through his window, he would also invite me in to show me his awards and to regale me with stories from the road.

Anyhow, I ramble (you’ll find that out more and more). This thang will be about the music he created and all the roads that lead to and from. Happy birthday Mr. Monroe and welcome neighbors!!!
